Technical Educational Workshops
There are many ways to demonstrate science in exciting ways and the use of K'nex helps in many ways. Two simple examples use a K'nex catapult and a car for measuring and comparing actual results with theoretical predictions.

Visiting Lectures
There are countless science, business and mathematical topics that can be reinforced by visiting lectures that are not constrained by the ties of the curriculum. These range from self analysis models such as 'What Do I Want In Life' to Rocketry.

Exciting Technologies
Aeroplanes and Helicopters are guaranteed to get kids excited. In one day we can look at history, science, mathematics and chemistry while combining this with the practical skills to build real flying models. The day can be tailored to suit the academic balance of the group but will always entertain and educate.

Practical Demonstrations
If time does not allow for a full day building flying models, demonstration is the next best thing.

Close Industry Links
Avion has strong ties with industry and organisations that provide access to industry. This could be in the form of visits to companies or finding visiting industrialists or we could provide useful links to industry training and work experience.
Practical Assistance
Schools are often reluctant to ask for practical help. Many companies are keen to help and get involved but need to know what help is needed. This ranges from sponsorship to provision of apprentices and graduates to support a whole range of schools programmes.

Tailored Packages
Not sure if any of the above suits you? Never mind, we can tailor a package to suit any of your Enterprise needs. Simply contact us, tell us what you want and we will work on a package for your students.

Learning Environment
Creating the right environment for learning is so important. This model can be seen flying in the Great Hall
at Birmingham University, a truly inspiring location as can be seen in the video clip link.
Modern Materials
The Science of flight is as much about materials as anything else. In all of our workshops we emphasise the need to look around for simple materials that can be found in every house. A classic example is Depron, a lightweight foam material that is ideal for making models and comes free with every pizza and piece of meat bought in your local supermarket (it's the tray underneath).
